NASA
said yesterday that it finally figured out where its dead satellite
fell back to Earth on Saturday: the South Pacific Ocean, far from any
large land masses. NASA said the Air Force calculated that the satellite
entered Earth’s atmosphere generally above American Samoa. Experts say
they believe about two dozen metal pieces fell over a 500-mile span.
