Partners Want Love Notes For Valentine’s Day
Forget the Valentine’s Day candy, going out to dinner, handwritten notes and home-cooked meals top the most appreciated Valentine’s Day gestures, according to a new survey. The online survey conducted by Harris Interactive on behalf of Zebra Pen Corp., found that more than half of Americans selected being taken to a nice restaurant for dinner, with 57% of the vote, for Valentine’s Day. More sentimental ideas, such as receiving a handwritten love note from their romantic partner, 44%, and enjoying a home-cooked meal, 38%, finished in the top three. Flowers and jewelry tied with 29% of the vote followed by chocolates (28%), spa treatments (26%) and cologne/perfume (21%).
