Your Boss Could Be Ruining Your Relationship - Are they?

Your Boss Could Be Ruining Your Relationship
Having a bad boss can make you dread coming into the office, but a new study shows that the stress stretches beyond the boundaries of work. Baylor University’s research shows that people who get abused, scolded or belittled by their bosses at work tend to take it home with them, where they take their frustrations out on their spouses. The study examined 280 workers and their partners, with an average age of 36 and an average relationship length of 10 years. They discovered that people who work for dictatorial bosses have more tension in their relationships with their partners at home and are less satisfied with their family lives overall than people who have nice bosses. The good news is that it’s not leading to divorce. The study showed no correlation between increasingly intolerable supervisors and divorce rates. Couples that were married the longest actually coped with the stress the best.
