Online Victory - Do you fell your voice counted?

They didn’t have much money or political clout. But a coalition of online and high-tech companies were able to pull off a major coup when it came to legislation or policies that annoyed people. It was a win over Congress, bringing to a stop legislation that would curb online piracy. Just a couple of weeks ago, it appeared the separate bills in the House and Senate were on the fast track to being approved. But after at least 75,000 websites, most notably Wikipedia, shut down for a day and others like Google began complaining about the measures, lawmakers backed off on Friday and scrapped the efforts to pass the legislation.
