Anthony’s attorney that defended her against charges involving her
toddler’s slaying has quit, TMZ reports. TMZ.com cites no sources in its
short report, but says Jose Baez “has decided to REMOVE HIMSELF from
Anthony’s legal team.” TMZ says it isn’t clear why Baez quit. However,
it was reported that Anthony, incensed by an ongoing media circus during
her probation, reportedly planned to fire Baez. The New York Post
quoted a source that said Anthony and Baez “haven’t been talking for
weeks” and that last week’s unauthorized release of two video diaries
“was the last straw.”
